The Tutoring Spot is a local Reno company, specializing in providing tutoring services to students who need a little extra help, in their own way. Incorporating philosophies from Psychology, Education, NLP, Martial Arts, Business Training and Team Building programs, The Tutoring Spot offers a variety of unique and effective programs to not only help children excel in school, but in life!
Whether they struggle with ADHD, ADD, ASD, or other learning disabilities, we can help.
We have been helping families dealing with these issues across the globe. After a successful time working with parents around the world, we decided it was time to step back and help those living in our own backyard!
About Tracy
With more than 20 years experience working with children, Tracy Hoobyar decided it was time to use her skills to help more and more children.
A former substitute teacher, homeschooling mom, after school program supervisor, and Girl Scout leader, her passion for helping kids foster a love of learning has been life long. She has seen students go from barely passing their high school classes to graduating with Advanced Diplomas. She has helped students struggling with online coursework and the independence that goes with that and seen children struggling with behavioral and self esteem issues to begin to feel confident.
Our Beliefs
At The Tutoring Spot we believe in helping kids learn to love learning. We will help your child improve his/her grades and self-esteem, and have fun doing it! All the while, eliminating some of the stress that can surround the conversations between parents and their kids when the subjects of school, grades, and homework come up. We understand that improving a child's love of learning not only improves their grades, but changes the dynamics of the entire family.
Our tutors are well trained, compassionate and knowledgeable people who are ready and eager to help your child learn and grow.
We run background checks on all of our tutors, and meet with your student in libraries, schools and other public places. All of our tutors have a photo ID to help you and your child identify them. Our main priority is your child's growth, and we believe it is our duty to ensure your students and our tutors are in a safe environment to facilitate their learning.
All tutors have had fingerprints and background checks.
